...and that really bothers me. Part of it is because I'm not in it enough. In my other Bible, I have highlights, underlined phrases and notes in the margins that helped cement the Word in my heart. By doing that, I could easily locate a verse. But, I've been utilizing Bible Gateway so much, that I'm losing the feel of knowing where to flip in my Bible to a familiar passage.
I've been using The Reformation Study Bible ESV for about a year and a half and I LOVE it but the words of Christ aren't in red and that's actually a big help to me. This is another reason I feel distant from my beloved Bible.
So, I think I'm going to endeavor to go through with a red pencil and underline all of Christ's words. Won't that be an enlightening exercise?

Good idea, Jan! That will be an enlightening exercise. They have those special red pencils for Bible pages you can buy. (I miss Christ's word in red too.)
..I use Bible gateway too much and recently I've tried to turn to the actual book instead of just going to the web site. It's hard though because I usually don't know what I am looking for and the web site allows me to search more efficiently. (Of course God is more efficient than any site, so maybe I should call upon him instead of my computer. :) )
Well put, Aubrie. God is more efficient. The computer is certainly a God-given tool, no doubt, but I too, am finding it easier (can I say lazier) to type in a word or part of a phrase and then forget to open the Word and really delve in. Glad I'm not the only one. May we treasure His beauty revealed to us in a new, personal way today. :)
