Since entering the blogging world I've noticed a fun trend of bloggers making a list of 100 facts (useless, humorous and down-right interesting) about oneself when they reached their hundredth post. I couldn't wait until I reached this seemingly notable milestone in the blogoshpere.
But fate would have it that at my 100th post I felt led to write about the marvelous grace of God and recount how He drew me to Himself.
Now I'm thinking it would be fun to make a list and join the par-tay and just add eleven more to my "list". So, here I go:
1. I love being a wife.
2. I love being a mom.
3. It's not easy being a wife.
4. Or a mom.
5. I shop at the world's largest Costco.
6. I have a desire to grow in godliness but battle laziness and self-sufficiency.
7. Jesus Christ paid my debt and wish I had words to explain how awesome that is.
8. I don't like bees.
9. My husband is a visionary.
10.His latest project is to raise bees.
11. I have no desire to help.
12. His bees died and I was secretly rejoicing.
13. I repented in my heart and told him I was sorry he lost his hives.
14. I'm thinking this list is getting more boring by the second.
15. I will say that I have THE best friends a girl could ask for.
16. God has been ever so kind to bring these godly women into my life.
17. I'm thinking about abandoning this project.
18. Like, right now.
19. Hey, I know. I'll just copy the 111th Psalm. Let's see what that says:
Psalm 111
Great Are the LORD’s Works
1. Praise the LORD!I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart,
in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
2. Great are the works of the LORD,
studied by all who delight in them.
3. Full of splendor and majesty is his work,
and his righteousness endures forever.
4. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and merciful.
5. He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever.
6. He has shown his people the power of his works,
in giving them the inheritance of the nations.
7. The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy;
8. they are established forever and ever,
to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
9. He sent redemption to his people;
he has commanded his covenant forever.
Holy and awesome is his name!
10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever!
And to that list, all I can say is, AMEN and AMEN!

Cha-Ching
Here lately I've been finding hidden treasures while cleaning and purging. The first was $17.00 in a jacket pocket and the second was a $5.00 gift card to Starbucks in my junk drawer.
Well, the latest was quite the shocker. I convinced my sweetie to help me move a bookcase into the other room so I could move my love seat closer to the wood stove. As you can imagine, that takes a lot of work to remove everything off the shelves and of course force you to dust and clean them.
As Doug was dusting (something I doubt I will ever see again), he discovered a $50 bill hidden in bowl! WOW! How in the world did we hide that??? I have the slightest memory of putting it there about a year or so ago. Guess it worked to hide it.
We're going to be the old folks who hide their cash under the mattress and forget about it. :)

O Praise Him
I was just recently introduced to David Crowder Band. This is the only song I have heard thus far and I love it! The video is great. It's one thing to sing in your house, in your car and alone in the woods, but this...
"I will sing to the LORD, I will sing; I will make music to the LORD, the God of Israel." Judges 5:3
"I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted" Exodus 15:1a
"Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name." Psalm 30:4
"that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever. " Psalm 30:12

Wheatgrass-Really?
When trials come in your own life or in the life of someone you care about, have you fallen victim to offer help and advice though well-meaning, is really not helpful at all? I sure have. The clip below is a comical look at a serious downfall in the Christian community and one I've been guilty of myself. Oh, I haven't used wheatgrass, but other "pet" remedies. The follow-up clip says it all. And then, the third video is the full sermon. Rejoice in trials. For a believer, this is as bad as it will ever get. We have the hope of eternal life where we will be free from the presence of sin!

A Nation in Waiting
Great. Now what? Abortion. Higher taxes. Same-sex marriage. Assisted suicide. Persecution. Reduced military. Failing economy. Attacks on the family. Uncertainties with education. Anxiety. Fear...
Stop.
"Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10
God is ruler of all. He is the ultimate Authority. His sovereign hand is still working. I do not fear man who can take away my body. I fear the One Who has the ability to take my body and soul. Two songs, I leave you with.
